So I have been engaged now for over 3 weeks now and I STILL cant stop checkin' out my ring and smiling!!!!

I can't believe I am going to be his wife!!!! I am so excited about it and so thankful to have found such an amazing guy!!!

I look forward to growing old with Richard, because I know we have so many happy times ahead of us!! Of course I am not naive...I know we have a lot of hard times ahead but I know together with the grace of God....we will make it through to the end together!

This is a great website!! It has so many ideas and links to everything I could ever need for our wedding!

Also I have started on my guest list...the website allows you to organise the list with who each guest belongs to and how many in the party etc etc! This also looks a lot better than the scrap bit of paper I was planning on using!! ;0)

The RING!!!

I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!! I still keep looking at it when I have a moment or two and cant stop smiling!! I also find myself doing a lot more with my left hand....giving directions, pointing at things etc etc

Officially ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!

Yes folks, Richard and I are now officially engaged!!

I have the ring to prove it! lol

I still cant believe it!!

It all happened on Christmas Eve and it was such a crazy day.....

Woke up and got showered and dressed to go and get my nails done in the town.

My sister had arranged evrything to do with my nails so when I arrived down the girl informed me that it would take about 1hour and 30minutes!! I said that was no problem because I was in no rush....well not that I was aware of!!

So I went and got my nails done, after Richard said he needed to get a few things from a store...so we went for a walk!

Then he suggested going for a walk, I told him it is FREEZING outside!!!! But he wanted to go for a walk so I thought I would go for walk just to keep him happy.

So we went to Carrickfergus Castle and while walking around the Castle.....he got down on bended knee and asked me to Marry him!!

I was so shocked and said YES, of course I will!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0)

Meanwhile as he was down on bended knee, my parents had arranged a photographer, Davy, who is an old Family friend to take photos of us as the newly engaged couple!!!

I thought it was stranged when I seen Davy because he was standing over at the wall and taking pictures of the Castle etc....but it is freezing outside so why would some guy be out taking pictures on his own!! I never placed him there to be anything to do with us!! haha

We got a bunch of pictures taken and I am now waiting on a few pictures coming from Davey to post up here! I have a few that my dad took on his own smaller camera....here they are. I love them!!!

Richard arrives....

TOMORROW morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so super excited!!! Seeing him and having him here at Christmas will be the BEST Christmas gift I could ever receive!!!

This is actually the FIRST Christmas we will have spent together EVER!!! We have always been working or somehting has come up that we have had to have an 'early' Christmas celebration together with family and or friends! Last year he came over to N.Ireland 2weeks before Christmas and we my parents put on a mock Christmas day which was so nice for us. Also he had to come over that date because I Graduated from University and he had to be at that! But sadly he had to go back to NJ because he had to work over the holidays! :0(

Well this year should be a GREAT one because we will be together!!! <3

I will make sure to post pics of our Christmas celebrations!

Picture sorting...

I know I take a lot of pictures....but OH BOY!! I never tought I took this many!!

I am off work today and of course I thought it to be a great idea, if I were to sort all my photo's into a BIG album!!

I also thought it would be a great idea to type a little label to go along with each photo. It is taking me FOREVER!!!

Even though this has taken up the majority of my day....I have enjoyed it sooooo much!!!

Looking through all the old pictures of Richard and I brought back so many happy memories and it has just been heart warming looking at them all!!

A picture can capture those precious memories that your not even aware your are creating at the time!!

I still have about 150 pictures to go through and label but it is so much fun and it just makes me love Richard all the more!!

Had the BEST time ever...

Being back in NJ this time I had to say was the BEST trip in a long time!! Im not saying that every other trip has been awful....they have been good also but this trip just ROCKED!!!! :0)

Richard and I just did a whole bunch of fun things. Plus I also got to spend a whole lot of time wit his family and the people he is closest to within his church.

Just a few things that made my time so great...

Richard - well that one was obvious!! haha....we got to spend a lot of time together even with him working his usual days! We were able to be 'normal' the way it used to be. Go on our movie date nights, go get the grocery shopping, do laundry....I know most of that doesnt sounds fun but we enjoy it as long as we do it all together! :0)
We also got to go to Church together which was really good. I met people who knew his Father when he was alive and they joked about Richard and how he was as a child! Then we also went to Richards church where he considered most people members of his own family. It was nice to meet the people from both churches and see how much Richard is loved by so many people!

NYC - Everytime Richard and I go into the city we have a good laugh and this time was no exception! We went to the Charmin restrooms in Times Square and oh boy is that an experience on its own....check out the webpage: http://www.charmin.com/en_US/enjoy-the-go/index.php

Family - Because Richard was working his usual schedule, I spent a lot of time with his sister Tina who is amazing! Awilda, Richards mom who is also amazing...really this woman is the best...I could not have asked for a better mother-in-law!
Also Richards brother Steven who is adorable and his other brother Jun who is not adorable but is a great help with us. He is always willing to help us out when he can and is also very funny...especially when he trys to immitate my accent!! Jun's wife was also there and she is really nice, she loves to have a good laugh which is my book is great!!!

All the family members made me feel so at home this trip and I dont know if it was because it was Thanksgiving or what it was....but this trip I just felt like I was actualy a member of the family! It was so nice to feel that.....they have always included me in family occasions and have always tried to involve me in many events. But this time just felt different.
When I said my good-bye I cried a lot with everyone, which I dont usually do! I mean that in the nicest possible way....but this time I actually couldnt control my tears! :0( Was so sad!

Thanksgiving - I have had Thanksgiving before but this was the first FAMILY thanksgiving of many to come I know! It was a great day, MIL asked me to make a dessert, which was no problem....I made the cookie log! Everyone LOVED the log and of course now every year will be the dish waiting after the main course!! lol
After dinner we played a board game which like any family got very competitive and was so funny!!

Future plans - Richard and I committed to a lot of future plans, which we are very excited about and praying very hard to achieve!

I am sure there were so many more things that made my trip awesome, but these were the main things that spring to mind right now! They also seem the most important out of them all!

Paperwork....

As y'all know Richard and I are trying our hardest to be together and well as of Monday the 23rd of November....I am happy to say We have FINALLY sent away the paperwork to be together!!!

We will now be praying hard and waiting for the reply of the first stage so we can move on to stage two!!

We would appreciate all your prayers as we start our journey to be together!

In NJ and in love!

I arrived on Monday afternoon and I am having a ball already!

Monday when I arrived, Richard lost his cell but thankfully he was able to find me at the airport sitting where I always sit!! :0)

So we came home and got a few things unpacked....I had a few gifts for him and a few things for his mom that I wanted his opinion on.

Then we went to his mom's house for dinner and to just chill for a while. I love her cooking and of course this time was no different...yummy!!!

Tuesday Richard and I got up at 6am to go and meet the guy who found Richards cell.....was really good of him to give it back and to arrange to meet us! Thankfully got the phone back and no harm done!

Then we went for a long walk and stopped at a small diner for our breakfast! Was such a nice winters day.....cold but the sun was shining so was nice to walk hand in hand around the city.
Richard mom asked me to come over for my dinner last night and then I babysat for her while she went to my little brother-in-laws school. Then I chilled with my sister and brother in law watching 'My sisters keeper'......such a sad movie!

Now today I am chilling in the house because Richard is working until 10pm. Then we are going to go and do some grocery shopping! I know I know.....after 10pm I hear you say 'Are you crazy!?'.......well its the only time that we can go and get it done because he works.

Any who....other than the above nothing exciting over here. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and having the big family dinner together! Will be great!

After having read this book I feel like I want every woman I know in a relationship to read it also!!

Its great! Well so I think, I know some people say different!

I have gained so much from the wise words of Shaunti. A lot of the information I guess I already knew but I just didn't acknowledge until now.

I would recommend this book to all my girl friends out there! I think its especially good if you are in a relationship and you want to make sure the relationship stays as good as it is right now or you want it to be even better!

I have actually read a few reviews of other people and they have said they have gained so much from the book that they are giving this one and 'For Men Only' as wedding gifts! I think that's a wonderful idea!


For any of you who are reading this and thinking....'What on earth is this book about??' Look no further..here is a short summary and a few things that have been taken from the book!

For Women Only is full of eye-opening revelations you need to not only understand the man in your life, but to support and love him in the way he needs to be loved.

A friend posted this next part and this is the reason I bought it to read...Thanks Kel! :0) It gives the main highlighted issues of the book.

1. Men would rather feel unloved that inadequate and disrespected. Husbands need to know that their wives respect them publically and privately. Men thrive when they know that their wives trust them, admire them and believe in them. Shaunti Feldhaun's (Christian writer of the book) research indicates that men would rather sense the loss of loving feelings from their wives than be disrespected by them.

2. A man's anger is often in response to being disrespected by his wife. When a husband seems angry with his wife, he may not just come right out and say "You're disrespecting me!" but there's a good likelihood that he's feeling stung by something that his wife has done that he considers disrespectful and humiliating.

3. Men are insecure. Men are afraid that they're not cutting it in life - not just at work, but at home, in their role as husband. They may never vocalize this, but inwardly they are secretly vulnerable. The antidote? Affirmation. To men, affirmation from their wives is everything! If they don't receive this affirmation from their wives, they'll seek it elsewhere. When they receive regular genuine affirmation (not flattery, by the way), they become much more confident and secure in all areas of their lives.

4. Men feel the burden of being the provider for their family. Intellectually, it doesn't matter how much or how little a man makes, or whether or not his wife makes more than he does. Men simply bear the emotional burden of providing for their family. It's not a burden they've chosen to bear. Men are simply born with this burden. As such, it's never far from their minds and can result in the feeling of being trapped. Wives cannot release their husbands from this burden, but they can relieve it through a healthy dose of appreciation, encouragement and support.

5. Men want more sex. Everyone's natural response to that is probably, "Duh!" But, that response is probably for the wrong reason. We primarily think that men want more sex from their wives for a physical reason (their "needs"), but, surprisingly, research shows that men want more sex because of their strong need to be desired by their wives. Men want to be wanted. Regular, fulfilling sex is critical to a man's sense of feeling loved and desired.

6. Sex means more than sex. When men feel that their wives desire them sexually, it has a profound effect on the rest of their lives. It gives them an increasing sense of confidence and well-being that carries over into every other area of his life. The flipside of this coin also carries a profound negative effect. When a husband feels rejected sexually, he not only feels that his wife is rejecting him physically, but that she is also rejecting his life as a husband, provider and man. That's why making sex a priority in marriage is so important!

7. Men struggle with visual temptation. This means that the vast majority of men respond to visual images when it comes to women. And, this doesn't just mean the guys with wandering eyes. Even the most godly husband cannot avoid noticing a woman who dresses in a way that draws attention to her body. Even if it's just a glance, these visual images can reappear without warning. Men can choose to dwell on these images or repress them, but they cannot control that they are visual people.

8. Men enjoy romance but doubt their skills to be romantic. True, many men appear to be unromantic clods. But, it doesn't mean that they want to be that way! Men want to be romantic, but they just doubt that they can pull it off. They are plagued by internal hesitation, perceiving the risk of humiliation and failure as too high. Wives can do a great deal to increase their husbands' confidence in their romantic skills through encouragement and redefining what romance looks like. For example, a wife may balk when her husband asks her to go along to the hardware store, but it's likely that he's asking because it sees it as an opportunity for them to get away as a couple and hang out together. What's not romantic about him thinking that and wanting to be with her?

9. Men care about their wife's appearance. This isn't saying that all men want their wives to look like a supermodel. What men really want is to know that their wives are making an effort to take care of themselves (and not letting themselves go) because it matters to their husbands. Husbands appreciate the efforts their wives make to maintain their attractiveness.

10. Men want their wives to know how much they love them. This was the number one response of men. Men aren't confident in their ability to express this, but they love their wives dearly. Men want to show how much they love their wives and long to express this fact.

You may have just read over the above and thought....yeah yeah tell me something I don't know and you may think this book is not for you!!! TRUST ME GIRLS....this book is for all of us!!!!

A love letter from God.

Vacation booked!

Its only 35 days now until I go away again and spend the holidays with Richard. Yes.....I will be in NJ for Thanksgiving and I am very excited about it!!

I love Thanksgiving!!!!!! I love the weather around Thanksgiving and I love spending time with all my American family!!

As you can gather I am very excited!! So I will be away from November 19th until December 2nd!

I will make sure to take a lot of pictures and post them when I get back!!

Well its that time again where I vanish ito happiness for just over 2 weeks!!!

Yes people I am off to see the man I love in New Jersey!!!

I am so excited about seeing him today..... I have those little butterflies going around my tummy right now!!! lol Its nice that I still have that after 3 years of being together!!
