How to make a simple coat rank

I seen this on Flax and Spindle and I just had to share! I think it is beautiful and it is so easy to make!!

• A piece of wood at the local hardware store. I recommend measuring the area you wish to hang this and determine the length from there.
  
• Find any knobs that appeal to you, I went with drawer knobs. These are easy to find. If you're a junker like I am you can collect some really cool knobs from estate sales or your local antique shop, if not, places like Target, Ikea or Home Depot have lots to choose from.
  
• I used regular satin wall paint for the wood and let it dry completely. Then, simply measure, mark and drill the spots for your knobs and attach, that's it!
  
• Mix it up any way you'd like. who says it has to be cottage style? Make it contemporary or casual. This was super fun to make and lovely to look at too!

I also want to try this with some fabric! I think it would be cool in stripes or covering the whole thing in fabric.

Kids room fun!

• ½” and 1” flat brush 11” x 19”
• unfinished framed mirror
• 1 – 3” mini script magnetic “L”
• 2 - 3” mini script magnetic “O”
• 1 – 3” mini script magnetic “K”
• ¾” wood circles
• 1” wood circles
• 13 iridescent rhinestones
• Glue

1. Basecoat main part of frame with Silver Anniversary and inner and outer border with Violet Pansy. When dry, apply several coats of corresponding glitter paint.
2. Basecoat letters with Azure Blue and apply several coats of Turquoise glitter when dry.
3. Referring to photo for color, basecoat wood circles and then glitter.
4. Glue letters and circles to front of frame as shown, then glue rhinestones to letters and circles.

(You can obviously change the colors to suit your chosen room. You could also change the letters to the name of your child)

Easter Washcloth Bunny

These washcloth Easter bunnies are easy and quick to make, and they will hold a plastic or boiled Easter egg very well.

After Easter, you can use the bunny as a Boo Boo Bunny - just nestle an ice cube inside the circle instead of an Easter egg, and hold against those little bumps and bruises to ease pain and swelling.





Washcloth Easter Bunny
Supplies:
washcloth - a large baby washcloth is ideal
rubber band
two small black pompoms or plastic, movable eyes
one small pink pompom
one medium white pompom
small amount of thin ribbon or yarn
optional: small silk flower
cloth

Instructions:

1. Lay the washcloth on a table. Roll one corner, diagonally, into the middle. Roll the opposite corner in the same way, so that both rolls meet in the middle.



Fold the rolled washcloth in half, as shown in the photo at right.

2. Hold the two sides together and fold the two ends backwards, over the top. Fasten a rubber band around the front area to form the head. Fluff out the two ends to make bunny ears. This photo shows a side view of the bunny so far.




3. Glue the white pompom to the back, to make the bunny's tail.

Glue two small black pompoms in place as eyes. Glue a small pink pompom below the eyes as the nose.





Fasten thin ribbon around the bunny's neck and tie it in a small bow. If desired, glue a small silk flower in the middle of the bow.

4. Your washcloth Easter bunny is finished now. But, wait - where's the Easter egg?

Slip an Easter egg into the open circle at the back of the bunny, behind the ears. You should find that the bunny will hold the Easter egg in place quite well.

Now all you need to do is set your bunny in a hiding place, ready for the Easter egg hunt.

I wanna craft!

I love crafts and I wanna make a few handbags!!

Think I should get some patterns...only problem is I will have to do them hand sewn - I have no sewing machine and I don't think I could bring myself to spend the money on a good one!!

Well if I do go ahead and make a few handbags...this i the style I want to go for!






I wont be starting these for a while....as I am currently still working on the Jewellery selections!! Loving the Jewellery making!
