In NJ!!!

Hey guys and gals!!

I know I haven't posted in a while now....but here are a few updates!!

At this very minute I am over in NJ with the love of my life!!

I had arranged for my parents and sister to come with me for my Dads 50th....I flew them all out First Class on the flight!! It was amazing and they loved it!! Something they really enjoyed and they for sure deserved it!!

My family were over for just 4 days....wish it had of been a little longer because I know they love coming over here!! I am here for another week and of course I am so busy while I am here...I have loads to do!!

On the first day here, Thursday, my parents went and stayed my Uncle and his family and my sister came with me to stay with Richard. we all had a great time!

Friday my parents and sister met all the in-laws!! Was a good evening and we all went out for dinner! They got to talk and eat together which was nice! Sadly they don't get the opportunity to meet up on a regular basis so the next meeting will be Richard and I's wedding!! :0)

Oh during the day on Friday my parents, sis, Richard and I all went into NYC and had ablast!! Even though it rained all day long that didn't stop us going shopping and enjoying ourselves!!!

Saturday I went with my Mom, Sister, Aunt and 2 Sister in-laws to Davids Bridal to find my wedding dress and Guess what???? WE FOUND THE ONE!!!! I knew as soon as I put it on me and then when everyone seen it and cried that it was the perfect dress!! I am so looking forward to wearing it all day on the wedding day!!! Exciting!!

Saturday night....Laura (my sister) and I arranged for us and our American family members to all go out for dinner as a Birthday treat for my dad!! Was great fun and I know Dad really enjoyed himself!!
We all went back to my Uncles house for some Birthday Cake and it was sooooo good!! I love cake!!

Sunday, my parents went and did a few things with my Uncle and Aunt! My sister and I went and got our nails done with my sister in-law Tina....was great fun and of course we now have cute nails!

Then we started to get ready to get them to the airport for the trip home!! Here was a fun part of the day! As I am a staff member of Continental....my family travel on a standby list and we checked the listing for the flight on the Saturday and it was open, meaning there were seating for them to get back to Dublin....where the car was parked!!

Of course Sunday I log on to double check everything is fine and wouldn't you know...the flight is oversold!!! So we had to change up everything and send them to another airport in N.Ireland! Thank the Lord for being so great....they say a guy from our Church back home who said he would give them a ride home because of course our car is in Dublin which is about 2 hours away from the airport they now had to fly into!! haha

Poor mom and dad had to drive down in my moms car to collect the other car and drive it back up home again!!

Over all though the trip was amazing and hopefully one we will all remember for a very long time!! Pictures will be posted soon..I promise!

CHARITY FUNDRAISER!!!

I have a very special request for you all!!

My Father is turning 50 this year in February and as a hair raiser he has decided to take part in a BIG charity event this year on Valentines day!

Here's how the the story evolved .......

''As most of you will know I will be reaching the grand old age of Fifty this year, 2010.

I casually happened to be mentioning to some friends that I should probably be doing something memorable to mark the event - this was a flippant comment honestly!!

On the same day... I became aware that an email had been sent to me - it invited, "Thrill Seekers and Daredevils", to participate in the St. Valentines Day Abseil, down the 130ft. face of Belfast's Europa Hotel!

Now let me tell you....... The legs went from beneath me and I found myself feeling more my shoe size than my actual age but - When I had time to draw my breath...... I found myself in the unretractable situation where I just HAD to volunteer myself to participate in this hair raising event!!!

So, on Sunday 14th February 2010, I am going to join the other Hearty Souls, on top of one of Belfast tallest buildings for an adrenaline rush like no other, to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Hospice!!

This is an open invitation to all my friends, colleagues and acquaintances over the years to help me celebrate a memorable birthday event, whilst earning some vitally needed funds for one of Northern Ireland's most deserving organisations - The Northern Ireland Hospice. ''

This charity is one I consistantly give to, because the Charity does so much for many many many people around the world! So I am behind my dad 100% on this!!

Now for you part.....I would really appreciate as would my Father and the Charity if you could check out his Charity web page and donate some much needed cash! I would ask that you donate what you can, even if it is a very small amount - EVERY PENNY COUNTS!!!

In the booklet I received it had pictures of goats, chickens, cows, ducks and a few other animals....I thought this was awesome!! I would rather teach a man to fish so he can eat for a lifetime with one of these gifts than just send money to the oragnisation! I know the money helps also but to give someone in another country an animal that will provide for them and their family is great!!

I just thought I would share, I know this is not for everyone but its a great idea to pass along!

Happy Anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary my love!

We have had a few tough times and of course a lot of great times together. The past 3 years have been the best and most blessed time together and I know we are going to have so many more great years together!

I love you with all my heart...Always and Forever! xox

Chicago and dinner!

Tonight my parents, sister and myself all went out for a meal and to see the show Chicago. It is my moms birthday tomorrow so my sister and I thought it would be nice to treat her to a nice meal before the show.

We took her to The Olio in Belfast which in my opinion is the best restaurant in Belfast!! Every time I g there I am very pleased with the service and the food is out of this world!!! Needless to say I was not disappointed tonight...It was amazing!


Then of course we went to see the show...i was my first time seeing it and I was very impressed!! It was great I really did enjoy the whole show! My parents and sister have seen it 3 times before and they even said it was still as good as the first time they seen it!!

All round we have a great family night out!!

We got to celebrat our Anniversary early which was great! I had a great day and evening as we spent the day at a country park and then went to dinner! Was really romantic!

Holy Trinity Church Sale May 2009

My Church had their annual Church Sale to raise money for our building fund! It was a great day! There was a lot of fun and fellowship!

I even got a few little bargains myself!

Surprise!!

Richard will be here on Monday of next week (2ND Feb!!).

I am SO excited!!

He called to say that he wanted to come over here for his one week vacation time! Such a nice surprise as I wasn't expecting him to come over so soon!!

He will then fly home on the 8Th and I fly out on the 13Th!!! Awesome!!!

I cant wait to get a break away from work and just the every day routine!! A change of scenery is just what the doctor ordered! Especially when the scenery is in New York!! (",)

Graduation!

Well it has finally come.......today is the day when I get to make my family and friends proud of me!!

Some thought the day would never come when they would see me walk up on stage and be presented with a certificate that says my name and the word Degree on it!!

I'm so excited!!! I will be posting pictures later on tomorrow, as my family and I are going out for a nice meal to celebrate!!!
