The best trip ever!

'...they were waiting for a better country - a heavenly country...' Hebrews 11:16

Think about the best vacation you've ever been on. Or maybe you've not yet had the opportunity to go on a vacation of a lifetime, so where would it be?

Somewhere full of action, like Disneyland, maybe exploring a historic European city, or would adventure be your thing? White-water rafting, surfing or skiing?

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that, 'He [God] has planted eternity in the human heart', ie each one of us hopes for a special kind of trip, the best trip ever!

All of us, at some point, think about life after death and the opportunity of spending eternity in a better place - Heaven. The Bible tells us that Heaven is the best destination ever! You don't have to save up for it, or worry about extra baggage charges; it's completely free! No struggling with your suitcase, coz everything you need and more will be provided there for you! It will never disappoint nor will it end. How do you get to go?

Listen: '...if you confess with your mouth," Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved' (Romans 10:9).

Why is it so important to believe Jesus is risen? Because if He isn't then you can't be either. That's right; when God makes all things new (see Revelation 21) you'll get a Jesus-style resurrected body to enjoy it. Now doesn't that sound cool!

Heaven is a wonderful place to imagine and it would be wonderful if we could take a peek through a leaflet....just to see what the place looks like. But not even our wildest imagination could grasp how awesome it will be!!!

I know I look forward to getting there,......obviously not before my time but when God is ready to take me home I know I will be ready!
