From scabs to salvation!

sadness Pictures, Images and Photos

'As he was going into a village, ten men with leprosy came toward him...'
Imagine...your fingers have fallen off so you can't work, then your toes so you can't walk.
Now your internal organs are failing, you're all scabby, and every day you lose a bit more of yourself - then a guy speaks to you, and suddenly you're not dying a slow, painful death anymore... you're completely restored!
Read all about it in Luke 17:11-19.
OK, so things may not be nearly that bad for you, but here are five helpful hints if you feel like you're losing more bits of yourself every day:
1) Turn to Jesus - make the choice to let Him help, and He'll give you back your peace and joy.
2) Shout to Him! - if you want something desperately, act like it! Lift up your voice to God, and He will hear.
3) Do it! Just do what He tells you; faith doesn't demand a reason! Don't try and bargain with God; it doesn't work! Your experience won't be the same as everyone else's. Some Jesus spoke to, some He touched, some He told to go; and they were all healed.
You've got to walk it out (v14). Each step brings you closer - but nothing happens 'til you take that first step of faith.
4) Praise Him! Only one of the ten came back and said thanks to Jesus; and He noticed. So don't forget your manners; it's much easier to ask for help next time if you've said thanks this time.
