Dreamers quote..

Haven't posted a few of these in a while...

So lets play catch up and post a few to ponder!

We live in a time of transition, an uneasy era which is likely to endure for the rest of this century. During the period we may be tempted to abandon some of the time-honored principles and commitments which have been proven during the difficult time of past generations. We must never yield to this temptation. Our American values are not luxuries, but necessities - not the salt in our bread, but the bread itself.
Jimmy Carter (1924) in his farewell address

I think we should have listened to these wise words.......seems so many things have changed and not for good in this world! So many of us have abandoned the time-honoured principles and commitments and people have learnt to accept those things which were in Carter's time.... 100% wrong!! But who am I to judge the times?!?!

Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because it means things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better.
King Whitney Jr.

Isn't it funny how people say they are OK with change taking place......yet when it actually happens they freak out and say they wish things were the way they used to be!?

I would love for everyone to say and agree that we need to be the change we want to see in the world!! How can you expect things to change if you don't change yourself? If you want to see something improve then go ahead and offer the help needed to change it!!

Don't be discouraged by the failure. It can be a positive experience. Failure is, in a sense, the highway to success. inasmuch as every discovery of what is false leads us to seek earnestly after what is true, and every fresh experience points out some form of error which we shall afterwards carefully avoid.
John Keats (1795 - 1821)
The words learning curve come to mind. We need to make mistakes to learn what is actually right. We can live with the decisions we make and discover later down the line......it was the wrong one....but at least you know now and you can make another decision which may be the right one! We learn from the mistakes we make and we get by! Its all part of life learning!
